Finding time during 3rd year rotations to do a photo shoot is pretty challenging, but when it's for a med school classmate who recently got engaged, it's even more special! We fortunately had the weekend off from the hospital and were treated to some gorgeous La Jolla weather. Olga & Phil are both from the Bay Area where I'm from. Also, Olga is a great photographer herself! I had a really great time shooting their engagement session. Not to forget, A seagull totally attacked their bag of stuff thinking there was food in it. He tore a huge piece of paper bag right off!!
Do you own a DSLR camera? Or are you planning on buying one soon to advance your picture taking skills and knowledge as a photographer?
Or maybe you have had a DSLR camera for years and just never learned how to use it out of "Automatic mode" - I was like that for a while too! Until I learned the techniques and now I ONLY shoot on full Manual mode. It's way easier for me now! I can predict what shutter speed, aperture, ISO I'm going to need for the picture result I want.
Now you can learn the techniques of intermediate level photography- break out of the basics. Learn what the controls on your camera are!
This course which was taught for $55 is now on sale for only $10, which includes a digital download of the Yas Photography Workshop guide, which is your full-color guide to Shooting Modes, ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Focusing, FIle Types, Lighting tips and tricks, portraiture and more!
To purchase, head over to www.yasphotos.com/store and select the option for the workshop (only $10!)
*Non-refundable. Purchase includes a downloadable PDF file of the workshop material. All material is copyrighted and illegal distribution or copying is prohibited.
With med school I've been super busy to do blog posts! Check out Facebook for more frequent updates --> Facebook Here
But, I have been ever so busy with photography! I have to show you guys some of my favorites from the many amazing shoots we've had. This is one of my favorite family sessions so far. We started off at Windansea beach (super high tide- couldn't really head down except for on the rocks) and got some fun shot there, the kids just wanted to play on the rocks and watch the waves crash.
Then we headed to the park at La Jolla Cove for some fun pictures in the grass and beneath the gorgeous trees. It was perfect weather.
Next, check out this fashion shoot with lovely Amal and designer Nilab. It was great to go back to Geisel to shoot, since I probably hadn't shot there since graduation season in 2015.
Check out this family session at the beautiful Leo Carrillo State Park up in Carlsbad! A great family outing place, the kids loved to play and discover different things in the park. A super fun family session as well!
We end winter with nowruuz (new day!) Persian New Year!
Happy Spring everyone!
What a beautiful way to end the year- a wedding of two people who obviously love each other and can't wait to start a new life together in 2016. Incredible how these two have known each other since middle school! And went off on separate ways, states, careers, only to meet up again and realize they were meant to be!
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
And their first-look...
And of course, the best part is taking off the high heels and switching to comfy boots :)
May God shower His blessings upon you two! Thank you for choosing Yas Photography
